After 40 years, the Golden State Warriors are again the NBA champions after storming to a convincing victory in game six of the finals.

LeBron James couldn’t complete the miracle return to his native Cleveland, having a poor shooting night in a game which his side had to win, the former MVP couldn’t nail the buckets in the final quarter to claw back a strong lead for the Warriors.
James said prior to the game that he wasn’t nervous, claiming he was the best player in the world.
James walked from the arena following the final buzzer, looking clearly dejected.
It was scenes that reminded Cavs fans of the last time LeBron took their side to the finals, which ended in the same result, with the champion player walking to the locker room without a trophy.
Cleveland remain without a championship in franchise history.

Andre Iguodala was awarded the MVP in the post game presentation, the first NBA player to win the award after not starting a single game in the regular season.
