Broncos winger gets contract with WWE

It’s not often that a rugby league player would find a new career path in the form of a wrestling ring, but that is just what unwanted Brisbane Broncos winger Daniel Vidot has done.

Vidot is a Samoan league international and had hoped to play for the Broncos in the NRL this season but was told by coach Wayne Bennett that he was surplus to requirements.

Vidot then took up on an opportunity to try out for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) over a 3-day event at the performance centre in Orlando.

Vidot was then offered a 3-year deal by the WWE, but Vidot is unlikely to be on WWE television for another couple of years as he has to finish off his rugby contract first.
